Ranch Rules
In General:
Above all, this is a family orientated environment for everyone to enjoy and feel comfortable at. Please be curteous to all
involved and ANY and ALL issues should be directed to Michelle Clarke immediately.
~ No Smoking...if you must, please do so inside your vehicle and take care of your own butts
~ Please do not spit tobacco products on ranch property
~ No use of alcoholic beverages on ranch property
~ No cussing, lewd or offensive talk
~ Appropriate dress is required: no tank tops, short shorts, flip flops, shirts must cover your rear-end when you sit.
We do not want to see clevage or crack nor the garments that should cover them.
~ No dogs allowed
~ Do not drive on or park on the grass for any reason ever.
~ Ride only in designated areas - not on the front lawn or in front pastures where horses live.
~ Please do not help yourself to hay, grain or shavings. Consult with Michelle on any feeding/stalling/pasture issues.
~ Your vet and farrier are welcome. We ask that you be present when they are here and they respect the ranch rules.
~ No outside trainers. EquQuest is considered a Natural Horsemanship Facility. This means we do things as natural
as possible when it comes to the training and teaching of horses and humans. Both Eric and Michelle are qualified to help
you in most training situations you may have. If you feel the need for outside help, please arrange a meeting with the Clarkes
and it can be discussed.

In regards to Horses:
~ It is your responsibility to enforce manners on your horses (and childrens!) behavior.
~ No chains allowed to handle or lead horses for any reason.
~ No excessive roughness or abusive handling with any horse on ranch property.
~ No handfeeding any horses.......if you would like to treat your own horse, please use a bucket.
~ No hand grazing or letting horses eat grass while on line or being ridden.
~ Learn where the stallions are and respect their space with your horse.
~ Do not handle or pet foals or young horses without Michelle being present and having permission.
~ Please ask permission to pet someone elses' horse. Remember, just because an animal approaches you, does not mean
he wants to be touched.
~ Tie your horse only IF they are safe to tie, and only in designated areas. Please tie them with a quick release knot,
and long enough to put their head down, but short enough that they cannot put their nose on the ground or get a foot over
the rope. If you need assistance in this area (or any for that matter), please ask Michelle, Eric, Lynn or another EQ employee.

The necessity of rules is for everyone's safety and the comfort of the animals here at EQ. We have an open door policy and
will gladly discuss any issues you feel the need address.
Barn Hours: Monday thru Saturday: 8am ~ 9pm Sunday: 9am ~ 5pm.
Rules are subject to change or additions added as needed at any time without notice. EQ reserves the right to ask you
to remove your horse with only a 24 hour notice for any breach of rules or unbecoming behavior on your part or your horses.
