Winter Feeding

Lastly, your horse needs to yeild to your body, whether it is your physical self, as in your seat/leg, or your energy output.  Whenever you put energy or intent into your body, your horse needs to respond appropriately with his own energy as asked and in the direction he is asked.

This yeilding is used both at liberty and on-line by using your energy and intent toward the horse to direct his movement.  Horses naturally use this form of communication with eachother as their main "conversations".

Another form of yeilding to your body is the horse giving positive responses to your weight and leg aides while you ride.  A horse that moves away from simply switching your weight or gives easily to the leg is a joy to ride!
